Requisition # 13266 Job Summary:   Responsible for operational aspects of the Laboratory Information System including staff management and training, HIS and instrument interface installation and maintenance, system table maintenance, billing, and software upgrades. The LIS manager will provide oversight, troubleshooting and resolution of computer related problems, responsible for daily monitoring of LIS functions and staff.  Acts as a representative of the laboratory information system within the organization (including to HIS) and with the vendor/s as needed. Candidate will need to be available for technical support during off hours to help share responsibility for operability of our 24/7 environment and identify utilize the resources needed to support new revision or future development of LIS and HIS.

Position Requirements:  State License Clinical Lab Scientist License 2 years of Experience Required


Education:
B.S. in medical technology or science and ASCP or any CLS Certification required. Master's Degree preferred, Current CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist preferred.


Experience: Must have 2-3 years of thorough knowledge of all the areas of the Clinical Laboratory.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience with SCC SoftLab preferred. Must possess excellent computer skills. Must be able to assist in issue resolution, streamlining workflow, and implement new technologies. Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-tasking.
