In 1996, Northeast Montana Health Services Inc. was established by joining the hospitals and long-term care facility of Wolf Point and Poplar into one organization to provide healthcare to the residents of Roosevelt County. The NEMHS mission is to improving the quality of human life in the community by being the first choice in healthcare through specific targets.

Goal 1: Decrease delays to clinic services to improve access to healthcare. Goal 2: Provide sufficient healthcare services with a view to prevent community members from having to travel long distances for healthcare. Goal 3: Provide education and resources for community members affected by alcohol and substance abuse. Goal 4: Increase awareness and education of services related to chronic disease.

NEMHS measures their success by the community members of Wolf Point and Poplar sporting greater access, awareness, and satisfaction regarding services.

• Technicians: Laboratory Technicians, Ultrasound Technicians, Radiology Technicians (with willingness to be trained in CT)
• Pharmacy Technicians

• Providers:   Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Emergency Room
• Emergency Room Physician
• Family Practice Physician with Obstetric
