JOIN TEAM UPG. The University of Virginia Health System Physicians Group is seeking a full time BC or BE Hematology/Medical Oncology Physician for our UVA Cancer Center located in Augusta, VA. UVA Cancer Center Community Oncology, with several locations throughout Virginia, specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care of adult patients with cancer and blood disorders. We offer patients quality treatment options and easy access to the technology, clinical trials, and advanced capabilities of UVA, if necessary. Our staff is highly skilled and explores all treatment options in a fully integrated, patient-focused approach. In addition to our physicians, our care team includes oncology-certified nurses, support nurses and other support personnel.


ASPIRE TO PERFORM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. In this position you will have clinical responsibilities to facilitate superior patient management by performing comprehensive health histories and physical assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies and diagnosing health risk profiles. Will also request consultations and referrals to other physicians, counsel and support patients and families regarding disease process and treatment plan. Requires graduation from an Accredited Medical School with Degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), completion of Accredited Residency and Fellowship in Hematology/ Oncology, current VA license or LE, Board Certification or Eligibility in both Hematology and Medical Oncology and preferably 1-2 years’ experience.
