Operations Support Engineer

Operations Support Engineer positions entail the following job duties: Supports torpedo maintenance operations and other processes in a team-based electronic/electromechanical environment. Perform activities in a variety of cross-function areas including support to production, total quality management, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Engage in the producibility and quality of the product, by performing failure analysis and troubleshooting of in-process electronic weapons system hardware. Provide overall engineering support to the Torpedo Maintenance Operation encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: industrial manufacturing, manufacturing equipment, process, product, quality assurance, reliability, supplier quality, factory test equipment and special tools. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Maintaining and updating various computer databases.
- Performing as System Administrator for automated test equipment.
- Analyzing complex signal flows utilizing system level schematics and wiring diagrams in efforts associated with troubleshooting torpedo vs. test equipment problems.
- Isolating and diagnosing complex MK 48 Torpedo system's level issues
- Troubleshooting and repairing complex system level as we as, sub-system level factory test equipment.
- Providing work direction and technical guidance to Technicians. Also assisting Technicians with complex test equipment problems and training them to perform preventive maintenance and calibrations activities.
- Interfacing with external and internal customers to solve technician issues.
- Supporting technical issues on an as required basis when required.
Required Education/Skills: Requires a Bachelor Degree and two year's related experience.
Successful candidates must be flexible and capable of working with limited supervision. Must also meet Company's security standards as imposed by the U.S. Government, including the issuance by the U.S. Government of any necessary security clearance within a reasonable amount of time. Special Work Environment: Explosive Ordnance Handling Facility, Ewa Beach, Hawaii.
